Excellent point, Piet! Resource efficiency is something we also thought about and are aware of as a point we will have to sort out in greater detail, even though most people would most probably not expect this to be a major drawback of a Pyramid stone.
When they think of the fact that they would burn the amount of fuel you stated as a public transport commuter over he course of only a couple of months if not weeks, they might feel it´s perfectly ok to have half a cubic meter of concrete consumed for their burial or memorial.
A good impression of the Great Pyramid´s significance as a waste of resources however is: If for every single dead in the world a Pyramid stone would be set, worldwide consumption of concrete would rise by only 0.5%!

Dear Pyramideers, Dessau rules ok. In my humbly mumbled opinion, Eastern Germany is an essential ingredient in the rise of the tender giant that we refer to as the THE GREAT PYRAMID. And, to be fair, holding the poor number of international tourists in Saxony-Anhalt so far againstthis site (cf. Fig. 1) would be slightly counterintuitive, as an important idea behind the original concept of the Great Pyramid was—in my understanding—to draw more tourists to Eastern Germany.

Respect for the death, is the word to describe the building of this pyramide.
But there also the living, remaining.....
Can we decide to build such an energy absorbing site in times in which our fossile energy is going to be scarce.
One stone will cost about 200 litres of fossile fuel!
